The digital revolution has had a great impact on the business of imaging. Digitizing, or scanning, can allow you to access your drawings almost instantaneously, right on your desk top. But when the file is put away and the computer is shut down, all you have is a string of code on a magnetic disk. In a few years, the media on which the drawing is stored may become damaged or obsolete, or the file format itself may no longer be supported. With microfilm, you always have an image that can be enlarged and reproduced. When stored properly, it will last for many years.

Original drawings and documents from 8½" x 11" up to 36" x 48" recorded onto 35mm film and mounted in standard 3¼" x 7½" aperture cards. 35mm film can be inserted into clear jackets with as many as six images per jacket.

Products from RT's Microfilm Services comply with the vital non-digital document management systems required by most municipalities and are used by many aerospace and other engineering-related businesses.
